Hearing Aid Tracker

After losing a pair of hearing aids, I wanted to make them easier to find.

Prototype in development

The problem

Losing hearing aids can interrupt everyday life. An audible alert is not always helpful for someone who has difficulty hearing it.

What I built

I designed tracking hardware and coded a companion app. GPS provides the location, while a light cue helps someone find the device without relying on an audible alert.

Developing the concept

I researched existing options and pitched the concept to Phonak for potential product development.

Why it matters to me

The idea came from my own experience. It made me think about how the same feature can work differently for different people, and how that should shape a design from the beginning.
